Add Bazaar as a VCS option

Bazaar http://bazaar-vcs.org/ is a powerful VCS that allows workflows much more flexible than either Mercurial or Subversion, and enjoys many plugins and improvements. Please allow Kenai users to store Bazaar repositories for their projects.

    Integrate with NetBeans IDE.

SCM, BugTrack, ability to create new project, etc.

Basically I don't ever want to leave my beloved NetBeans IDE. Why should I have to?

Do NOT make the pages fixed width

At the moment the pages seem to be fixed width. This means that I am not able to take advantage of a 30" screen, nor my iPhone (I assume)

This may be letting the user choose his own style or settings, but it seems that as a default its a bad idea.

    Ruby Gems Support

Add support for RubyGems like GitHub already does (http://gems.github.com/). This would be critical for most Ruby developers.

facilitate string translation (possibly across projects?)

I am pleased to see that Kenai supports code repositories, issue tracking, and wikis - like other project hosing sites (I use Google Code, Launchpad, and SourceForge) however a feature I am sorely missing in project hosting sites is tools to facilitate string translation.

In addition to programming, squashing bugs, and writing documentation, translating is a big part of all the projects that I work on. A section of the project page which showed who the translators are and the percentage of strings translated into each language would be nice. The bonus to using a community site like Kenai to manage translations is it might be possible to share some translations across several hosted projects (some strings are common to many projects).

Advanced features, like allowing a community of translators to collaborate on translations in a single language, and negotiate different translations of the same string, would be welcome in the future...

Provide private repositories for students under review

Computer science students sometimes need to collaborate on projects - but academic rules say they can''t share code outside of their project team. Making it so that .edu users can create private projects would provide them with something useful, build a group of new people that start with Kenai, and perhaps incubate some interesting projects that can turn into open source

    Always make downloadable archives

For people and projects that like to be able to be sure of what they're building (both for security and for reliability), it's necessary to be able to download a tarball (or zip if you must) that never changes once it's been released, and so can be verified with md5, sha, or whatever. Since you're building a whole new infrastructure for projects here, why not make this part of the release process, so all projects would create these by default?

Integrate with a continuous integration engine

Integration with a continuous integration engine (like https://hudson.dev.java.net/) would make project Kenai not only a tool for hosting open source projects but increase its importance as part of the project's development process.

Add Darcs as a version control system

Darcs is a VCS that is based on a theory of patches rather than focusing on the source tree. This allows Darcs to reorder and merge different branches and trees allowing for greater flexibility in managing changes. Darcs also has function branches which means that each copy of the source can act as its own tree, which allows the option of using the full power of a VCS without committing potentially destabilising changes to a central repository.

Wiki menu missing other options planned

When I go to the wiki, I can't get to the forums or bug track, without going back. Why is the nav strip on right not including these ?

Provide alternate ways of viewing lists of people & projects planned

The current views of people and project lists use a *lot* of verticle space - they will become unweildy/unusable with tend of thousands of items. 1-line, no graphics, tag clouds, 2-axis cover-views, grids... all would provide easy to browse traversal of these large lists.

    Add Google Analytics support

To be able to track visits to my project, I would like to see some a possibility to place Google Analytics code as a snippet or just their ID in some text field.
